Vice President, Director of Content & Consultative Services

As VP, Director of Content & Consultative Services, John McMorrow oversees the Content department as they advise over 300 local broadcast television stations from all of CoxReps’ client broadcast groups. John’s division makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of different data sets, develops long-term relationships throughout the industry at network, studio, and client levels, and provides insights used for strategy and negotiation. Additionally, John informs and develops recommendations to capitalize on industry advancements that could impact CoxReps’ business. John greatly enjoys working with clients and helping them reach successful outcomes.

John began his career at Cox in 1984 as a Research Analyst, and was promoted to Associate Research Director two years later. He was named Vice President of Content, called Programming at the time, in 1995. From there, he went on to hold several VP titles, earning his current role in December 2015.

John is a former TVB Research Chairperson, and was elected Chair of the Local Television Committee for the Council for Research Excellence in 2016.

John graduated from Iona College with a BA in Communication – Broadcast Journalism.
